There are currently eight members in the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. The Hayward area guides have been satisfying customers for over 40 years. Whether it's musky, walleye, bass, panfish; or maybe you simply want to learn your favorite lake a little better. The Hayward Area Guides have up-to-date, clean and comfortable boats, and will provide equipment if necessary. You will need to bring rain gear, sunglasses and a camera.

National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum
Our museum collects, preserves and displays the artifacts of the sport of fresh water angling. The highlight of the museum complex is a landmark "Shrine to Anglers" which is a structure one-half city block long and four and one-half stories tall, of concrete, steel and fiberglass, hand-sculpted into the likeness of a leaping fish (Muskie). Its innards are a museum and its gaping open jaw accommodates about 20 persons or more as an observation platform. The landmark is surrounded by a quarter-acre nature pond.

We offer guided trail rides on more than 20 scenic trails in the beautiful Quiet Lakes area. Our trails will take you through meandering, wooded scenery that's enjoyable for riders of all ages and abilities. Friendly guides help along the way so you enjoy a safe and pleasant ride. Our Legendary ‘Que is Perfect for Any Size Event You’ve Got Cookin’! Banquets, meetings, wedding receptions, birthday parties, graduations, and other special occasions. Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que can bring the fun and excitement of a good ‘ol backyard picnic to your next event – whether it’s for 50, 500 or 5,000. Famous Dave’s has been nationally recognized for “Legendary Pit Bar-B-Que”. You choose the location and we'll provide the award-winning food that will make your event a smokin’ success. We will deliver our award-winning barbeque or any catering menu item to your location within 100 miles of Hayward. Delivery fee is $25 for locations within a 25-mile drive of Famous Dave's. If you would like, our staff will come to your location and set up your catered food, keep it continuously stocked, serve your guests as needed and clean up after the event for just $16/hour per server or bartender. Most events will require at least two staff members. Download Our Catering Menu Menu selections should be finalized seven days prior to your event’s scheduled date, and a guaranteed number of guests is requested at least 72 hours prior to the event.
