A word from the captain...
-Kris Shelton

Hello again to all of our famous friends out there!  The mercury here is quickly on the rise as temperatures are expected to be in the mid 70's by next Wednesday.  That's right. Not a typo.  Seventy!  Summertime is that you?  The ice that has permeated Round Lake for the past 5 months is relinquishing its grip on Richardson's Bay with open water now wrapped all the way around the bay itself.  Many folks are taking advantage of the beautiful  weather to take care of spring cabin cleaning, repair boat motors, and make sure that they are ready to take full advantage of the ensuing summer recreation that waits just around the bend.  Personally, I don't think I am going to completely jump on the nice weather bandwagon just yet, as it seems everytime I move the grill from the garage to the patio or the boat outside,  BOOM!  18 inches of snow.

As far as what is going on in these parts, we would love to see everyone up north this weekend as we have teamed up with Grand Pines Resort to offer two free brunches when you stay the weekend in one of their unbelievably decorated northwoods cabins.  Our Easter brunch shin dig will be by far the hottest ticket in the area.  We will be featuring hand carved ham and beef brisket, sausage, bacon, biscuits & gravy, BBQ wings, rich and sassy rib tips, Eggs Benedict, famous strawberry cream cheese stuffed french toast, waffles, brisket hash, wild rice soup, and desert bar.  We will also be featuring a Bloody Mary Bar, life size chocolate fountain, a decorating station & bike giveaways for the kids,  and of course an appearance by Wilbur.  He is out of his winter hibernation and looking forward to welcoming big and little kids alike.  So bring not only your appetite, but your camera as well as we look forward to serving up some great food, and even better memories for you and your family to enjoy.
